TIPS, TRICKS, & OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
Okay, so yeah, this is a bit like our FAQs page, but let's be realistic...
we know that some of you are not even going to take the time to read the manual, so how can we expect you to peruse the FAQs
page (which
is bursting with great info, BTW)? We can't, and we know it, so we decided that since there are some points that you really
DO need to know regarding your products, we'd put them right here for you in a neat, precise, bulleted list.
We will certainly be making additions to this page from time to
time, so if you're in the market for a PHP product or are the new
owner of a PHP product, check back here often for more bits of
wisdom!
Oh, and feel
free to read that manual the first chance you get.

• We use TS 6-position chips with our own custom tuning.
•
When installing your chip, the keys should be in your pocket,
in the house, in the backseat -- ANYWHERE but in the ignition.
• We will not put a 140hp calibration on a truck with PMRs.
• We do not offer a "Decel" or "Exhaust Brake" tune. Click
HERE to find out why.
• If you are considering an "Anti-Theft" calibration, we recommend
putting it in Position 6 on your chip.

• The F.U. Chip Package includes a blank 6-position TS chip, a
chip burner, and access to all of the standard calibrations we
have for your truck (about 15, depending on your PCM code).
• The F.U. Chip is only designed for stock trucks or trucks with
mild modifications.

back to us for modifications to your calibrations.

• You can find out where your FICM is located by looking
HERE.
• We do have used FICMs in stock from time to time for customers
whose FICMs are no longer working. If your FICM is a piece
of scrap metal, please contact us, and we'll check our current
inventory.
• Early Diablo Predators modify the FICM, so we don't recommend
using our FICM tuning in conjunction with that programmer.
We also do not recommend using our tuning with a BullyDog
programmer.

•
To download custom tunes, download and open Pegasus (found on
our Support page). Click on UPDATES; then click on
TARGETED FUNCTIONS.
•
Clicking on GRYPHON UPDATE MANAGER will load canned tunes onto your programmer.
•
If you have purchased a used Gryphon, please DO NOT try to program your
truck with its custom tunes. Unless your truck has the
exact same HEX code (there are currently 733 just for the
'04-'08 F-150s!) and modifications, the custom tunes won't work. Download
and open Pegasus; click on UPDATES and GRYPHON UPDATE MANAGER to
download the canned tunes. If you would like custom tunes
for your truck, please contact us.
• Please be aware that the Gryphon's one-year warranty DOES NOT
CONVEY when resold.
• If your programmer suddenly stops working, check the fuse which
also powers the cigarette ligher.

•
DO NOT FORGET to program your truck back to stock before sending
us your Evolution to be upgraded!
