Programming is done with our easy HydraFlash software, which gives you full control right from your laptop. HydraFlash requires Windows.
Need different files later? No stress — everything is handled by email. You never have to mail your chip in.
Built-In Safety
Bypass Mode
Runs the truck on the factory tune. Use it for emissions testing, dealer service visits, or any time you want the PCM behaving exactly as Ford intended.
No Start Mode
Built-in anti-theft protection. Set it and the truck won't crank — a deterrent that doesn't require any aftermarket alarm hardware.
Important — Not Switch-on-the-Fly
[00] and [nS] are not switch-on-the-fly. You must shut the truck off and cycle the key to enter or exit these modes. All 15 other positions can be switched live while driving.

Power Limits by Year
Your truck's factory injectors determine how much power the chip can safely make. Here's what to expect:
Factory Power Caps
- 1994½–1997 trucks: Limited to about 80 HP over stock
- Early 1999 trucks: Limited to about 100 HP over stock
- Power limits are determined by factory injector size
- Manual transmission trucks have fewer tune options
Some trucks may handle more, but power gains are never guaranteed.
Custom Tuning Required For:
- Modified injectors
- Built transmissions
- Alternate fuels
- Engine internal changes
- Large or twin turbo setups
- Upgraded high-pressure oil systems
- Power adders (nitrous, water/meth, propane)

Will It Fit Your Truck?
Works With
Designed for 1994½–2003 7.3L Power Stroke Diesels — F-Series Super Duty, F-250/350, Excursion 7.3L, and PATS-equipped vehicles.
Does NOT Work With
The Hydra Chip does not work on 7.3L IDI trucks, early 1994 "Turbo Diesel" IDI engines, or 6.0L / 6.4L / 6.7L Powerstrokes (different platform entirely).
